Hi, I’m Rachel!
I’m a full-time, self-employed wedding photographer and part-time photo/film restorer, based in Belfast (where I grew up!). Alongside my love for photography, I enjoy great food, staying active with long walks or time at the gym, and socializing with friends—preferably with a cheeky beer in hand. Creative expression is at the heart of everything I do, and I’m not too shabby on the dance floor either!
Photography has always been a part of my life. My dad’s an artist, and my grandfather had an eye for capturing moments with a camera, which inspired me from a young age. After finishing school, I studied at the University of Ulster, where I earned a Foundation Degree in Art & Design followed by a Bachelor of Honours Degree in Photography. I graduated over 14 years ago and still love working with both digital and film formats. I also specialize in restoring, cleaning, and converting old photos, films, and tapes to bring memories back to life. Got a box of old family photos or forgotten film? Let me help!
My wedding photography journey started with part-time nightclub and event photography (hands up if you remember El Divino?!) before I transitioned to full-time wedding photography over 8 years ago. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph weddings across the country. I love capturing natural, candid moments that tell the real story of the day, along with beautiful portraits. I always aim to create a collection of images you’ll treasure forever. My favorite moments? Watching family members tear up during emotional speeches or moments of love—it’s truly a privilege to capture those emotions.
I’m passionate about making your wedding day run smoothly, too. My approach to customer service is like that of a personal assistant. I understand that not everyone is experienced with wedding planning, so I’m here to help with every detail in a calm and friendly way. After all, I want you to enjoy your day to the fullest while knowing you’re in good hands.
Whether you’re looking for a wedding photographer or need help bringing old photos back to life, I’d love to chat. No pressure to book—just get in touch through the contact form, and I’ll send over my price list. If you’re interested, we can schedule a Zoom or phone call to discuss your wedding photography needs.
A few career highlights:

• Nominated for “Wedding Photographer of the Year” at The Northern Ireland Wedding Awards in 2019 & 2020.
• Regularly featured in The Ulster Tatler wedding section.
• Recently, The Ballymena Guardian highlighted my work restoring my grandfather’s 1950s film photographs—examples of these black-and-white medium format images can be found in the Film Restoration section of my website.
My goal? To help people capture or revive those special memories that last a lifetime!
