Jenny & Franklin, Finnebrogue Woods

Jenny and Franklin met me at Finnebrogue Woods on an autumn afternoon last October, surrounded by the beautiful colours of the changing leaves. The golden and red tones in the trees made for a perfect backdrop as we walked through the forest, with the sunlight filtering through and casting a gorgeous diffused light.

We kicked things off with a laid-back coffee at Fodder, chatting about their wedding plans. From there, we took a stroll through the woods, capturing the little moments along the way. The setting was calm and quiet, a great spot for a couple who wanted something natural and easy-going.

For some posed shots, we used the autumn leaves and the light to add a bit of warmth and colour to the photos. Jenny and Franklin were great at just being themselves, and it made the whole shoot feel effortless. One of my favourite shots was when they were walking through the forest and I got them to look over their shoulders, just holding hands and enjoying the moment—it was a simple but meaningful way to capture their connection.

This shoot was all about capturing the real moments—nothing forced, just a beautiful couple enjoying a relaxed afternoon in one of Northern Ireland’s hidden gems.
